SAFE Partners with Achēv to Support Survivors of Gender-Based Violence

SAFE (Survivor Advocates for Empowerment) is proud to be part of Stronger Together, a community-based program led by Achēv

, designed to support individuals affected by gender-based violence (GBV). This collaborative initiative provides trauma-informed, confidential services across the Greater Toronto Area, including one-on-one counselling, group workshops, prevention training, community outreach, and essential resources such as financial literacy and system navigation.

Through this partnership, SAFE brings a unique peer-support lens to the program. Our team of survivor advocates helps shape services and facilitate meaningful connections through peer mentoring, discussion groups, and co-led workshops. By centering lived experience, we ensure that survivors are not just participants, but active voices in shaping safer, more inclusive support networks.

Together with Achēv and other community partners, SAFE is helping build stronger safety nets and amplify survivor voices. This partnership strengthens prevention efforts, deepens community engagement, and ensures survivors can access the holistic, compassionate support they deserve.
